Week 4

This week was pretty emotional for me. I have a lot of things in flux in my life right now and am making a conscious effort to work through everything. Needless to say, I didn't work out too much.  Looks like I am already trying to avoid the working out! But it's so early in the season!

Monday - Rest
Yes I did. Last Saturday was so hard that I needed two days to do that.

Tuesday
I worked during the day and had a dinner at night so nothing happened this day either.

Here is me last weekend

Wednesday -Spin/Core
Got my crap together and did a morning 60 minute spin at home followed by 40 minutes of core and then some stretching. Then I got my hair cut. Or rather I confused the days and showed up for my appointment. Oops. Anthony fit me in though. Love him!

Thursday - Swim
Drove down to Burlingame to swim and noticed the fairly empty parking lot and was like, huh. It's usually packed. Well, not today because the pool was closed for repairs. Ugh. Checked the Garfield pool schedule on my iPhone (love that!) and saw that lap swim was until 1pm. Flew back to the city and got in a 30 minute swim. My (hot) Russian lifeguard, Steve (not a very Russian name), was there swimming. As soon as I got in the pool he was like HEZ! WHERE have YOU been!?!?! The last time I swum at Garfield was in August. Oops!

Friday
I had an appointment in Fairfax so by the time I woke up (slept late because of working the late shift) I had to get moving and then had to go right to work from there.

Saturday
Worked. No working out.

Sunday - Swim/Run
Met the team in Pleasant Hill, CA. Boy was it cold out! It was actually warmer and sunnier in San Francisco then it was in the East Bay. I would say it was about 50 degrees out which did not make it very attractive to jump into an outdoor pool. Now, somehow I got to be a fast swimmer. I forgot to mention that last week I somehow ended up in the fast lane and the coaches seemed to be ok with that. What that meant was, while other lanes were swimming 2 and 3 sets my lane was swimming 4 sets. I kept looking around at Heidi and Leslie in my lane like, are we in the fast lane? heh. Anyways, Heidi and I made a point NOT to get into the fast lane this time and tried to get in the middle-ish lane. Turns out the entire team thinks they are slow so there were 4-5 people in those lanes and the coaches moved us down and there we were...back in the fast lane. Anyways, we did a two hour swim workout and 15 minutes of those was a marker set to see how many laps we can do in that time. I swam a lot faster than I would've if I had been by myself but I managed to crank out 32 lengths in that time, which is 16 laps and which is an 800 and that makes my 100 time 1:52.

Here I am getting ready to swim in 50 degree weather

Anyways...

Then we ran for an hour.  Then I had lunch with Doug at El Metate in the city and then I laid in bed for 4 hours and watched Battlestar Galactica. Wow! That show is really getting good. Then I went out to a fundraiser to support the SF Bike Coalition with my new co-worker, Julianne and had beer! Yay

Swim - 2 hours 30 minutes
Bike - 60 minutes
Run - 50 minutes
Core - 45 minutes
